Chef Pierre Scholarship

Traverse City-based commercial food producer Chef Pierre, which later became a subsidiary of Sara Lee, and subsequently part of Hillshire Farms, established this scholarship in 1984 to encourage and enable deserving students to pursue higher education in the hospitality fields at NMC. As one of the region"s major employers for several decades, the company has supplied frozen foods to restaurants, schools, bakeries and grocery stores nationwide. The company"s support for this scholarship represents its commitment to the Grand Traverse community and NMC.
