Dale Anderson Memorial Scholarship

The Dale Anderson Memorial Scholarship was established in 1980 by classmates, friends and family of the 1978 NMC graduate. Mr. Anderson, was enrolled in NMC’s Petroleum Engineering Technology program during the mid-1970s and is remembered by his classmates as an ambitious and hardworking student who “still took time to smell the roses.” After graduation, he remained in the Traverse City area, working as a geological technician for the Reef Petroleum Company. Mr. Anderson was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident on August 3, 1980.
