Daniel R. Olson Memorial Art Scholarship

The Daniel R. Olson Memorial Art Scholarship Fund is an endowed scholarship established in 1997 by Jack and Carol Olson of Traverse City to honor the memory of their son, Daniel R. Olson, who died at the age of 18 as the result of an automobile accident in July 1997. A June 1997 graduate of Traverse City Central High School, Daniel Olson was an art lover and had taken pottery classes at NMC while in high school. Friends remember him for his kindness, warm personality and ready smile. The Daniel R. Olson Memorial Art Scholarship is supported by gifts from the family and friends of Daniel Olson.
