Imogene and Harold Wise Memorial Scholarship

Imogene and Harold Wise Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship made possible by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wise who provided generous support for many college projects. The Wises first visited northern Michigan in 1928 and spent summers on Elk Lake until Mr. Wise"s retirement in 1936, when they built a permanent home. They first visited NMC in 1959, making a generous gift to the College"s building fund, which helped to build both the Osterlin Library and Science Building. Their scholarship endowment fund was established in 1964. The Wises spent their winters in Hawaii, and Mr. Wise died there in 1969, with Mrs. Wise passing away in 1980.
