John Lewis Veterans for Peace Scholarship

John Lewis Veterans for Peace Scholarship

The John Lewis Veterans for Peace Scholarship is an endowed scholarship created to assist U.S. Veterans of the Armed Services, or their spouse, children, siblings or grandchildren. The local Veterans for Peace Organization, Chapter 50, is offering this scholarship annually to assist students in financial need who will be attending NMC.

The scholarship was conceived when current President of Chapter 50, Tim Keenan, thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2009, inspiring relatives, friends and supporters to donate to this cause. The scholarship is dedicated to Navy veteran John Lewis, an original member of chapter 50, and an inspirational leader and staunch supporter of peace.
