Kristine (Kris) Sue Boike Memorial Scholarship

The Kristine (Kris) Sue Boike Memorial Scholarship was established in December 2001 to create a lasting remembrance of Kris, who loved NMC and valued education. Her scholarship was established to encourage, inspire and motivate others. Kris was born January 4, 1967, and moved to Traverse City in 1968. She was a graduate of Traverse City Senior High School and Northwestern Michigan College. She worked at NMC for 15 years and felt privileged to have done so. She loved reading, travel and taking classes in cooking. Kris was a friend to everyone. She had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. She had great courage, a strong faith, and a love of life. Kris passed away on December 25, 2001.
