Refitt Family Scholarship

The Refitt Family Scholarship is an endowed scholarship established in 1997 by Ronald and Donna Reffit of Kewadin to express their support of NMC and the educational opportunities it offers to the Grand Traverse region. Originally from Mancelona, Ron Refitt spent 13 years in Grand Rapids and returned to Traverse City where he founded Peninsula Construction, designing, building and developing commercial and industrial site. Although neither attended college, the Refitts believe that a college degree is now essential for a successful future.
