Leelanau County Prospectors Club Scholarships

The Leelanau County Prospectors Club is pleased to announce its seventh annual Northwestern Michigan College/University Center Scholarships. The 2022 scholarship program consists of two, $2,000.00 stipends – one of which will be in memory of Sarah A. Guzowski – that will be awarded to eligible (post-high school) college students from Leelanau County, to assist in his/her continuing education. Depending on Covid-19 restrictions, the two winners will be notified prior to the Prospectors’ dinner meeting, hopefully in May.

Applicants must be residents of Leelanau County. The two recipients will be chosen on the basis of scholastic achievement, financial need, and potentially personal interviews.

To apply for the scholarship, simply provide the following information:

• A one-page background cover letter
• College transcripts
• A completed FAFSA (financial aid) application
  Completed applications are to be submitted by April 15, 2022, to the Leelanau County Prospectors Club, c/o Chet Janik, by e-mail, to cjanik@co.leelanau.gov. The recipient will be determined by May 15, 2022.
