The Robert R. Carr Scholarship for Students of Land Surveying and Mapping is for students enrolled in the Surveying Associate Program.
To qualify for this award, recipients must:
- be enrolled in 6 or more credits
- complete a 200-word essay addressing the question, “At the second annual meeting of the Michigan Association of Surveyors and Engineers held January 11-13, 1881, Thomas M. Cooley, Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, made a presentation titled, ‘The Judicial Function of Surveyors.’ A copy of his presentation is included. In your opinion, is what Justice Cooley said still valid today?”
